choose who feeds your subconscience

We choose our friends. The constant talkers on TV and radio are just regular people. If you met them, would you really befriend them? I don't know, maybe, but what are the motivations behind the words we allow to float into our space without consideration.

A couple of years ago I bought radio advertising for my business and after spending some time with some of the radio folks, I found that I really didn't want to be around many of them. Just like any group of people, there are those I am drawn to with those I am not - for whatever reasons. It made me think about radio and how its just always there. Who is picking the music I'm listening to and how many friggin commercials do I have to listen to in the meantime?

I decided to TURN IT OFF and now have a wonderful and diverse collection of CDs. Sometimes its just nice to have the windows open and just listen to the nothing which is really full of everything real.

turn off the TV

About a year ago we cancelled cable and have never regretted the decision. You can hardly go into a public place without a TV in your face.

Live and let live, but LIVE for heavens sake.

I am interested in the thoughts of others who have either cancelled cable or are considering it. Please chat.
